One of Jacksonville’s oldest neighborhoods, Brooklyn, is an urban infill sub-market located between Downtown Jacksonville and the trendy Riverside area. With a new I-95 interchange and the arrival of The Fresh Market, retail, restaurants, multi-family apartments, hotel and additional office developments, the area was prime for growth.
With a vision for creating an attractive multi-use retail building, Ferber completed a land swap with the City of Jacksonville to assemble a 1.5-acre usable parcel. As part of the swap, Ferber built the city a public parking lot in exchange for city-owned right of way. Ferber also committed to cleaning up environmentally contaminated soil through the EPA’s Brownfield Redevelopment Program.
